About Our Firm
Our attorneys have been serving the people of Virginia as legal advisers and public servants for over 45 years.
We are committed to providing high-quality services to all clients, regardless of who they are or what issues they
Thomas M. Jackson, Jr. is the firm’s lead attorney. He has served as County Attorney for Carroll County, Virginia,
and spent fourteen years in the Virginia General Assembly. In the legislature he was a leading advocate for
public education, and served as President of the State Board of Education after retiring from elected office. In
addition to his public work, he has practiced law for over 25 years in a wide variety of practice areas. He is a
graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and the College of William and Mary’s Marshall-Wythe School of Law.
Protecting land owners who are facing condemnation is a top priority for our firm. Having been raised on a family
farm that was subject to condemnation for road construction, Mr. Jackson takes a special interest in representing
owners whose lands are being condemned for roads, power lines, and other utilities. He maintains a statewide
condemnation practice and has educated attorneys throughout Virginia on condemnation and eminent domain

graduate of Thomas M. Cooley School of Law and Bridgewater College, he serves as the Escheater for Virginia’s
27th Judicial Circuit and is active in community organizations. He handles traffic violations, criminal defense,
family law, and other practice areas, including a focus on federal criminal representation.
